Remember seasons are the opposite
of those in the northern hemisphere. Our spring and summer - October
to March - are the best time to visit Patagonia, unless you are
interested in the ski season. During wintertime, the Northwest,
Córdoba, Iberá Marshlands and Iguazú. Autumn and spring are the
best time to visit Buenos Aires – though it is a year round destination.
February and March are harvest time in the Wine Country.
Most of Argentina lies within the
Temperate Zone of the Southern Hemisphere. The north-eastern part
is very humid and subtropical (Iguazú Falls). The Northwest is a
mix of tropical and desert but has a mild winter (Salta). The Central
Pampa plains are temperate. The southern part of the country has
colder temperatures (Patagonia).
Temperature should be warm to hot in |
|
Buenos Aires from November to
March (Summer) Since there is no rainy season; it rains periodically
throughout the year, once every 10 days aproximately. The warmest
months are January and February (24C/75F average temperature). The
coldest months are June and July (10C/51F-average temperature).
The Northeast (Iguazú and Iberá Marshlands) is humid, warm day and
night. During the winter it can bee cold and rainy.
Northwest (Salta) is dry, hot during the day and cold at night.
Bear in mind altitude as well.
North Patagonia is colder
and South Patagonia is much colder and windy. During the summer
months it can be nice and sunny but you should expect four seasons
in a day. |

Communication and banking services have been significantly upgraded
during the 90´ and so has |
|
been the domestic
airport network. Buenos Aires is the main hub for domestic and regional
flights, but there are a few routes that have contributed to ease
the combination of different destinations within Argentina.
Argentina is a safe
country. In Buenos Aires City, there’s no need to take any more
precautions than the usual ones in any big city.
Argentinean people are very open to foreign cultures and renowned
by their friendliness. 95% of the population is white, mostly of
European origin, and in big cities it is very common to find people
speak or understand a foreign language. |
